While some people dislike cleaning, I find it therapeutic. In fact, when things get out of disarray for too long in our house, I start to feel the anxiety rise inside me. And that's just what happened last week...
We had house guests for just over a week and while I TOTALLY love having family under our roof and am so thankful for the visit, my house and routine was absolutely shot. My kiddos came down with a cold and I had a sore throat as well. The combination of illness, lack of routine and disarray of our house... well, let's just say I had had enough. I blew my top and had to clean. Enter, the Dyson.
For the last year, I haven't been able to use our vacuum because the floors in our apartment were some sort of weird plastic-y material that caused ridiculous amounts of static when cleaning with a vacuum. But now that we have real wood floods again, my beloved vacuum is back! And boy do I love it! I plug it in at the center of our home and viola! I can clean the entire 720 square feet of my house in one swift move.
Then I can sit back and breathe just a little bit. When my house is tidy, I can relax. But I find this has been a constant battle. I have yet to get to the point where everything has a place and gets put away when it's done being used. Minimizing stuff in our house has been an ongoing process, but in the meantime, I just need to keep things decently clean. And having the Dyson back in action will certainly help.
Anyone else have a favorite cleaning tool? Do you love cleaning or hate it? I'd love to hear from you!
